A flat lay photograph is a type of photography that connects an array of objects that relate with each other, are organized in an orderly manner and is always shot at a birds eye view. I chose sewing objects because they represented a hobby that I have picked up within the last few years. The vibrant colors of the fabric and thread were great reflectives of my outgoing personality. I chose to use this as my theme because of the memories they hold and how I am able to tell a story with how I lay the items out. To me these objects are very significant to me because they represent time spent at home creating objects including being able to show them off to family and friends. My photoshoot was a success. I was able to rearrange and try out different backgrounds/cameras. Next time I would try out different lighting(studio lights) and try out more organic looking layouts.
