Conclusion Questions:
1. In as much detail as possible record the steps it took to create your Motion Graphic Use complete sentences. Try to recall as many of the different tools, processes and programs as possible.
- To begin creating my Motion Graphic I first started out in the planning process. With the client brief I first emphasized on what keywords I should consider when creating my design and what exactly it is that the client is wanting me to create. I then moved into photoshop to create my mood board and I did this by dragging and dropping in images from the web that I thought would best suit my clients wants. I used Adobe illustrator to create my logo, I used the shape tool and the pen tool to create different shapes. I also make a silhouette for my camera. I incorporated the logo I made into my motion graph which I made using Adobe After Effects. In after effects I inputted each part of my video (music, logo, background video) by dragging and dropping it in. I put in multiple key frames by dragging the time indicator to where I wanted the key frame to start, put in the affect, pressed the stop watch and then moved the time indicator to the end point. Once again changing the key frame as needed.
2. Evaluate how well your design meets the needs of your client. Based on your ability to meet their needs, what level of mastery does your project demonstrate (Exceeds, Meets, Needs Work, minimal understanding) Why do you think so? Make sure to provide specific evidence.
- I believe that my design meets all the needs that the client was asking for. This project demonstrated an exceeding level of mastery because I was able to easily use the new after effects program by inputting more keyframes than asked for. I was also able to complete this project in a timely matter considering having missed a few class periods. I provided each part of the process in a clear manner that checks off all the boxes.
3. Evaluate your technical skills throughout the project. Was there a program that was easier to work in? Was there a program that was more difficult. Based on your technical ability what level of mastery does your project demonstrate (Exceeds, Meets, Needs Work, minimal understanding) Why do you think so? Make sure to provide specific evidence.
- The after effects program was the most difficult to work with just because it is a new program but it was easy to figure out with the use of notes. The easiest program to use was photoshop because I was only imputing and changing the format of photos for my mood board. My project demonstrates an exceeding level of mastery for my technical ability because I was able to recall past terms. short cuts and terms developed through previous projects.
