Video Resume

1. In as much detail as possible record the steps it took to create your video resume in Adobe Premiere Rush.
- The first step I took when creating my video resume was develop a script. Using this script I was able to record all parts of my A Roll. Once I had my A Roll videos recorded I transferred all of my videos into the editing software, Adobe Premiere Rush. Then I cut each of the clips individually in order to remove any extra time at the beginning and end of the clips. After that I found a song that I could have as background music during my video called "Boom Bap Harp". I also included various clips of B Roll by airdropping the videos off of my phone and importing them into Adobe Premiere. Making sure the B Roll videos were on the top most layer so it is on top of the other video and visible. I made sure the videos matched up with the timeline so it has more of a flow. Also adding in multiple transitions to make the jump from clip to clip more subtle. In addition I included some captioned words onto the screen that correlated with what I was talking about. Plus a couple of extra graphics. Finally, l exported this video after a close review as a whole and uploaded it onto youtube.
2. How does a video resume differ from a traditional paper resume?
- A video resume differs from a traditional paper resume because you are able to show more personality 3in your stylistic choices. With a video resume you can better expand on your skills and even show examples of that in visual form.
3. How might you use your video resume in the future and how would you update it to further help you?
- I might use my video resume in the future to apply for a job, I would use this video along with my original resume to boost my chances and originality. I would update it with new events and newly developed skills and re-record it so that I can wear something more appropriate depending on the job im applying for.
4. Based on the learning target, "Prepare Video Resume Portfolios created for a variety of purposes and applications appropriate for 21st century sector opportunities by producing a storyboard, script, audio and video clips then combining them in Adobe Premiere” What level of mastery does your project demonstrate (Exceeds, Meets, Needs Work, minimal understanding) Why do you think so?
- I would say that my project exceeds mastery because I was able to add in multiple different layers into my video. Including graphics, adjusted sound, and various different clips of b-roll. My video includes a clear message and is appealing to the eye. All parts of the rubric are completed and complement each other well.
